An excellent bagless vacuum
Six months ago I moved into a huge apartment with carpeted floors, and needed a vacuum cleaner. After considerable research, I settled on the Bissell CleanView Bagless vacuum. Here is my opinion based on six months of use.

Great deal, great performance.
Bought from Best Buy on sale. Compared to other models in same category the Bissell seemed better constructed. Some models I lifted off the shelf were extremely heavy. Others fell apart as I tried to remove their "bagless" canister systems. The Bissell didn't feel cheap and looked sharp.

Power hungry vacuum
I bought this bissel vacuum at wal-mart not knowing what i was getting. It looked good, said it had a 12 amp motor, and seemed easy to use. At 99 bucks it seemed like a typical mid-priced vacuum. I bought this vacuum b/c my old Dirt Devil conked out & I really wanted a bagless. I have a big, fat cat and I also have a cat allergy and a large black area rug. The 3 do not go well together. Great vacuum if you have 3 cats and a beige carpet!
I purchased this vacuum at Target for $79.00 . My last one had been a nightmare, when I had figured out to unclog it, it finally went up in a puff of smoke-literally!

The biggest mistake I made....
...was not buying this sooner! I replaced an old bagless Phantom. That thing was heavy and bulky. I always thought in order to be a good vacuum with lots of suction, you needed a heavy vacuum...but that one only last 5 years (and it cost me $300).

Wow... my carpet was gross
I had to buy this vacuum on sudden notice, when my faithful but not too powerful Dirt Devil started to smoke (literally) and stopped sucking.
