Bissell 3575 Upright Vacuum

I bought this bissel vacuum at wal-mart not knowing what i was getting. It looked good, said it had a 12 amp motor, and seemed easy to use. At 99 bucks it seemed like a typical mid-priced vacuum. When i brought it home i found there was no assembly required at all. So i unwrapped it and started vacuuming. I noticed it had a ton of suction. It reamed and fluffed the carpet up nicely making it look new. I also noticed more pet fur and dirt in the cup than i had ever seen. Everything in the path of this vacuum is gone with one pass! Next I pulled out the attatchement wand and put my hand in front of it while it was running, the thing almost sucked off my finger! I was then happy i bought this vacuum and time would tell if it was just working so well from being new out of the box.
Six months later i found the vacuum still to be just as powerful as when i first bought it. I also had time to learn how to take care of it. Care of this vacuum is almost as good a feature as the power. On the front of the vacuum it says "uses style 9 filters and belts". So when it comes times for new filters and belts, all you do is go find the bissel section and get "style 9" If that's not easy enough, emptying the dirt cup and changing filters is easy too. Just slide the dirt cup locking bar over pull out the dirt cup and dump it. To change the main filter just quickly unscrew the bottom portion of the dirt cup and there your main filter sits. The Hepa filter on the outside of the unit is easy too. Just pop open the filter door and pull it straight out. Done!
I have had this vacuum for a year now and it's still running great, the only weaknesses i can find are that is is loud and heavy(about 25 lbs). This might not be the vacuum for you if you have lots of stairs or mind alot of noise while vacuuming. If not, for about $80 you can have a vacuum that makes as much suction as the expensive units like oreck or dyson.
