Bye Bye Cat Hair!! Hello Clean Floor!!

Pros Cleans cat hair like no vacuum I've ever seen!
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Anyone with a furry pet or allergies would be making a good choice with this cleaning weapon. It sucks, it filters and it's super-easy to push around.
I bought this vacuum b/c my old Dirt Devil conked out & I really wanted a bagless. I have a big, fat cat and I also have a cat allergy and a large black area rug. The 3 do not go well together. I vacuum my living room about 7 times a week so I need something that can really suck and let me tell you this vacuum does the job and does it better than my old one (which I loved) and goes even further to clean beyond my expectations and under things I never thought I could reach.

I was lucky to get the "special edition". It's fire-engine red & looks like it means business. It has 3 hepa filters that you can wash out in the sink (that saves a few bucks on replacement filters) and the bagless deal means you never have to run out and buy new bags again ever! The 3 filters work really well - I don't see any dust re-circulating & flying out the side of this unit while I'm vacuuming (which is a big deal with my allergies) and it's all collected so nicely it actually makes vacuuming rewarding.

One of my favourite features on this vacuum is a simple little clip on the handle - you know how you always have to hold the cord in one hand and the vacuum in the other so you don't run over the cord? Now you don't - just clip it up and you never have to grope for the cord again!

This unit sort of moves forward by itself. That freaked me out a little at first because I've always had to push my vacuums around. This one is better - it just seems to glide when it's on and is much easier on my back than my last unit. It has a 30-foot cord which means you don't have to stop halfway through to plug into a different outlet and it has a great wire reinforced 10-foot hose. Of course it comes complete with the usual attachments - crevice tool, dusting brush, and extensions, all of which stash safely and securely on board. If you're like me & have both area rugs and hardwood floors, you too will appreciate the 7 height settings that really do make a difference when going from carpet to bare floor. This machine also has a handle position that allows you to vacuum under things I never thought possible - it has 3 positions: upright, normal, and low.

So, how do I like my new vacuum? I adore it. I've had it for 3 weeks now and I still adore it. I'm not sure the novelty will ever wear off. The thing is really light & easy to move around and it REALLY sucks that cat fur off my carpets & couches! Then, when you're all finished, you slide a little lever and dump the washable dust container out into the garbage - so much joy from such a simple action. As a pet owner with allergies I don't think I could have purchased a better vacuum.

The only complaint I really have about this fabulous sucking machine is that I can't turn it on with my foot. Yes, it's true, the power switch is halfway down the left side of the body of the machine & has to be turned on with your hand. It would have been so much more convenient if it were located where the handle release pedal was but if that's the worst thing about my metallic-red-wonder-machine, then I guess I can live with it.
