Bissell CleanView=Good Review

Pros Lock 'n Seal dust bin, great price/great vacuum, lightweight, HEPA filter, 12 amps
Cons Cord a little short, stores on right instead of left, 3 filters to clean/replace
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I highly recommend this vacuum. It is a great value considering all the features it comes. The pros far out way the cons. I am very happy with my purchase!
After my Fantom vacuum's cylinder went kaput and we went online to try to find a replacement part, only to find out the company had gone out of business-I started reading the epinion reviews so that I could buy a new upright vacuum.

After countless hours reading reviews and researching websites, I decided to get a Bissell Cleanview, 12 amp bagless vacuum and so far, I have been very pleased with my decision.

It has a lot of nice bells and whistles:
1. Onboard Attachments
2. 7 Ht. Adjustments, including bare floors
3. Dual Edge Cleaners, which means the brush goes right to
the edges so that it is very efficient.
4. Lightweight-very easy to push along.
5. Dust Cup is very easy to empty.
6. 3 Stage Filtration system, for all the allergy suffers
in the house.
7. Pull out hose that has a handle that makes it easy to
hold and control.
8. Headlight-large and bright.
9. Cord Stored on the side instead of the back-keeps me from accidentally stepping on it all the time.

My favorite feature is the Lock 'n Seal dust bin. It's really cool and super easy. You just slide the lever one way to release the cup and slide it the other way to replace it.

I also really like the Quick Reach handle that is on the hose-it really does make it a whole lot easier to grab a hold of it and pull out the hose when you need it. It also makes it easier to control the hose because it's not all wobbly and bending around in your hand.

Honestly, I never use the attachments-I use my handheld vacuum for those kinds of jobs. And I rarely change the height adjustment but it is nice to know that it is available to me.

Also, it's nice that it has 3 filters (an upper tank filter, a pre-motor filter and a HEPA filter) but at the same time, there are THREE filters that I have to clean and/or replace regularly.

But my only real complaint is that the cord is not long enough. I used to be able to plug in my vacuum in my living room and reach my dining room and the master bedroom but now I have to unplug/replug to do the bedroom.

Also, just a small design glitch that could be better, is that the cord gets wrapped up/stored on the right side of the vacuum instead of the back, which is great for me because I was always stepping on the cord when it came out the back. I only wish the cord came out of the LEFT side because I tend to hold the cord in my hand while I'm vacuuming and since I'm pushing the vacuum with my RIGHT hand, it would be more convenient to have the cord on the left.(I'm pretty sure the majority of people are right-handed. Sorry lefties!) However, there is a small notch on the back of the vacuum's handle that holds the cord perfectly, so I put the cord in place there so that it can hang left and I can hold onto it then.

And while it is not quite as powerful as my Fantom vacuum was, the 12 amps are getting the job done just fine and the Bissell only cost me about half of what the Fantom did!

So, no big complaints from me yet! Overall, I am very pleased with my choice and can definitely recommend a Bissell CleanView.
