The Bottom Line:
I recommend this product for anyone with indoor pets. It does a fantastic job of removing pet hair from floors, and I feel it is a good buy.
I owned two Oreck vacuums, and loved their long cords and how lightweight they were. However, once I got an indoor dog, I noticed that they did not do a good job of removing pet hair from the carpets. I had a 10% off coupon for Home Depot, and found the Bissell Revolution- made for pets- priced at $169.
I am SO pleased with this purchase! I brought it home, used the Oreck, then went over the same area with the Bissell. Being bagless, it was very easy to see how much dust and hair was missed by the other vacuum. This does a GREAT job of removing pet hair from my carpets. I use it daily, and even now with a little one crawling around, I feel confident that it does a very good job of cleaning my floors.
There are a couple of things that I wish were improved. I do wish that it had a longer cord. It needs to be unplugged and plugged in each new room. In addition, I am not impressed with the Turbo brush attachment, as it quit spinning correctly in no time at all. As with other bagless products, there is some dirt spill-over when removing the compartment.
The attachments seem to work very well. It has a "grab & go" feature that allows for partial vacuum removal, making it lightweight and easy to use with attachments on stairs, in crevices, etc. It has three filters, and I clean these fairly often, to be sure it is running efficiently. The container is see-through, so I can tell what progress I am making while vacuuming.
Overall, I am very pleased with my Bissell Revolution.
