The Bottom Line:
this is a super unit with an upright and canister styling. Easy of mobility through the house without having to lug the whole thing around.
This is a great product. It is very good at dirt removal. The "lift off" feature makes it so you don't have to carry the whole vacuum through out the house. The unit was easy to assemble, instructions were very clear and concise. I assembled it the first try. It is an attractive unit if that is what you want, most people hide them in a closet. This unit is animal friendly in that it has an attachment for removal of animal fur. It's a small power brush and it does clean. The suction is of good quality. The "lift off" feature is easy to use. It could use a strap for putting on the shoulder to carry the unit. It does have a handle, but the strap would help and should be included.
The unit has HEPA filters for thorough cleaning and does not use bags. Bags are very inconvient when having to replace them and then finding out no one carries your bag anymore. The dirt cup holds a lot of debris. It is recommended to sweep your floor of larger particles first because they will get caught in the beater brush.
The unit has a carry dock for all the attachments. The wand hose assembly is actually attached to the vacuum and you do not have to reattach the hose to use it. I had a Singer model and a Dirl Devil that you had to attach the hose to the motor unit when using it and unattach when not using it. With this one, you just switch off the beater assembly.
The unit is not really loud. The singer model I had was very noisy. I have a dog that doesn't like vacuums. Well, he doesn't like this one either, but I think that is just his fetish.
Over all, I like the unit, I'm glad I bought it. It was a bit more than I am used to paying for a vacuum.
