The Bottom Line:
Purchase this if you have shedding pets since it's the only vacuum I've ever used that actually gets the hair up and allows me to get rid of dander immediately.
I was using a Kirby G5 for the past 8 years. The bags were expensive and there was nobody in our area to service it. It's suction was limited on pet hair. Since we have 5 animals in the house, 2 children with asthma, and one child who is allergic to dust and pet dander, I needed something that I could get the hair up with and dump the refuse immediately. The first time I used this vacuum I was euphoric!!! It picked up all the pet hair in one swipe and I couldn't believe how much extra "stuff" was in my carpet considering I'd just vacuumed with my Kirby. It was easy to put together, is easy to maneuver, the attachments are excellent, and the filters are exceptional. The only drawbacks that I have found is that it is supposed to be able to vacuum hardwood/uncarpeted floors. It does a poor job in this aspect. It tends to blow dust and dirt around without really picking anything up. Also the extension wands do not stay together very well. Furthermore, the hair eraser mini spinner attachment has nubs that tend to wear down very quickly. By far, this is the best vacuum that I have used while having pets, though, and I would recommend it to anyone who is a pet lover like I am.
