Great for cleaning and refreshing carpets

Good working vacuum for reasonable price
I bought this vacuum when me and my hubby first got married. we were on a very tight budget and the bissell 9200 Upright Vacuum fit in well with what we could pay for a vacuum. Cleans carpet, doesn't clean itself....
This is a good buy, no, a GREAT buy if you can get a reconditioned one like I did at Big Lots. It cleans carpet well, and it's pretty easy on the back. Not the best I have used.
I agree with those that said the suction on this cleaner is a disappointment. I experimented extensively and compared it to an older Hoover Silver.
