9300c: leaks, cleans ok, leaks, leaks
Pros
all self-contained. Cleans carpet good if this is your 1st carpet cleaner.
Cons
Barely cleans upholstery. No powerful vacuum. This is no threat to the carpet cleaning business.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Cleaning relatively clean carpets: OK Don't bother for big messes that will make the machine reek forever and do buy it to clean upholstery like I did.
FOR: 9300c: Bissell 9200 ProHeat 2X Plus
This thing leak vacuum at every connection and switch.
It drips water on the carpet to leave drops all over the carpet. Pushing this thing around is like pushing a lawn-mower.
The TurboBrush was my main selling feature. Problem: the vacuum is lost in the turbo prop when it is switched to brush only. You can even feel the air go into the little vents for the prop. Meanwhile no suction is left to pick up water.
Dirty water/ clean water tank: here they put a bladder for the clean water in the same container as the dirty water. It saves space and the 2 don't mix. When you need to rinse out the dirty water there is no way to clean whatever gets under the bladder. In other words: you don't want to have to pickup vomit and try to rinse THAT out of the dirty water tank. Some of it will always stay stuck in there and will reek forever!
PS: I have another Bissell carpet cleaner that is 15-years old and it leaks less thanks to duct tape. It has tonnes of vacuum compared to this upright provided you can stand needing ear plugs. I didn't want to modify this new one so the new Bissell went back to the store. All C$250 of it!
