The Bottom Line:
I would buy this product again, it's great for the price, takes care of dirt and easy to use on furniture for pet hair.
We got this product because our allergies were getting out of hand. Our old vacuum was the bagged kind and we just felt like it lost its suction. It was a hoover and after looking at all of our choices we decided to go with this bissell.
When we were shopping for it the fact that the dirt cups had a seal on them - we needed the dirt to stay IN the cup, not blow out (from looking at the other vacuums we found this to be an issue) - the vacuum part itself detaches from the upright floor casing and you can carry it on a shoulder strap up the stairs, or on a chair to vacuum the tops of curtains or to get spider webs & dust on top of ceiling fans.
Easy to assemble. Hose attachment has a rotating brush that really lifts off pet hair from our furniture & carpeting. We are very happy with the attachment but we're also worried what the cost will be for replacement - it looks sturdy enough but if it's dropped.... who knows?
The other attachment for the hose was a tool that is 2 tools in one - another fun aspect of this product. Instead of multiple hose attachments there is a telescopic wand, very handy. It is easy to lock in place using the twist lock.
The on/off switch is near the top which we liked, no more bending over! The rotating brush has an on/off button, this made it convenient to turn the brush off so we can vacuum bare floors without the vac spitting items back at us - i.e. tiny popcorn kernels in the kitchen.
It never tipped over when we stretched the hose out - a bonus since our other vac tipped over all the time.
The only bad thing about this vac is that the dirt cups allow a few drops of dust to escape when removing the cup to empty it. We solved this by emptying it by our front door and dumping the contents in the trash and after replacing the dirt cup we just vacuumed up the tiny bit that shook loose.
