Worked wonders for pet hair

Pros Canister removal for car cleaning, steps, furniture, drapes. Great suction, manueverability Easy cleaning. Three filters!
Cons Can't think of any at the moment! I am thrilled with this product!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  This is two (Maybe3) vacuums in one! Great on pet hair! Great on carpeted stairs! Even works great on hard floors. All this & a three filter system to boot!
Like another reviewer stated, it works wonders for picking up pet hair. I too had an older vacuum (Hoover windtunnel, self propelled, bag unit) that seemed to work fine for me but my GF NEEDED a new vacuum... the same way a man NEEDS a new stereo, radar detector, MP3 player, xbox, you name it.

Well, I was talked into looking at a bagless vacuum because I hated finding out that your vacuum wasn't working because the bag was full. THEN you have to trek to the store to buy bags because you always plan to buy bags but never do until you actually have a vacuuming emergency. So, after reviewing several web sites (consumer reports, epinions, etc...) it was off to the store.

Initially we were planning on purchasing Bissell Cleanview II (I'm a cheapskate when it comes to stuff like this). After looking ovter the selection of vacuums this model caught our eye for what seemed to be a few dollars more. As luck would have it we had ventured to a store with a pricing guarentee & this vacuum was mislabled so I ended up getting this vacuum at the bargin price of $129 (normally 179.99)!

As for the performace, I couldn't believe how much my old vacuum (not really that old... 1998?) left behind! I emptied the container about 4 times the first time out. I was so ammazed that I found myself wanting to vacuum over & over again (Keep in mind, I am a guy!). The suction seemed very good, the turbo brush attachment works great & is a godsend for stairs & furniture. The filters work well... a far cry better than the HEPA unit on the hoover this vacuum replaced.

The lift off canister is not a problem & is infinitely preferable than trekking a full upright up a flight of stairs, one at a time. The unit could have been more accompdating for laydown performance but where would you lay a canister down on stairs anyway without it rolling down?

The power switches, located in the front of the canister, are NOT in an inconvenient spot. In fact, if you think about it, where else could they have gone with a removeable canister type vacuum such as this? I found the beater brush on/off switch to be of great use since I have always had an issue with the brush running in a dormant fashion while using the attachments.

Lastly, while the weight may be of concern to some, I find that I like the workout a good vacuuming gives anyway (we are geting way too lazy if we complain about how hard it is to vacuum!) The benefits of a removebale canister far outweigh (no pun intended) the weight addition this causes.
