Don't throw your money!
This vacuum is the worst I've ever had. It simply doesn't suck!!! There is absolutely no way to clean your floor and carpet with this eye-caching monster. Worked wonders for pet hair
Like another reviewer stated, it works wonders for picking up pet hair. I too had an older vacuum (Hoover windtunnel, self propelled, bag unit) that seemed to work fine for me but my GF NEEDED a new vacuum... the same way a man NEEDS a new stereo, radar detector, MP3 player, xbox, you name it.

This thing sucks, barely.
Well the review lost my review so this will be shorter than normal. Too heavy to haul around. Barely and suction. I have owned 60 dollar Sanyo's that had more guts than this. Brush problems
There is a definite problem with the bearing design on the brush axles. I have had the brush replaced once and now the second brush is about to need replacement. I had high hopes
I had high hopes for this vaccuum. I actually traded in a dyson I had ripped the hose of for this. I liked that the vaccum could come off from the wheeled part to move around more easily. Nice vacuum and price .
I have a multi-pet home and my vacuum works excellent. I like the lift off feature when I vacuum out my car. I also love the fact that I don't have to buy and dispose of bags. Read full review »
only problem: emptying canister and clean-up
one thing i believe is not thoroughly explained in all these positive reviews - something i will not accept in future vacuums - is the open canister as opposed to a closed vacuum bag.

Great cleaner
Great cleaning machine, you'll see what you have never seen coming out of your carpet. Finally a good cleaner that really brings the dust and everything else out of the carpets.
