A vacuum that does not suck
Pros
Good layout, nice color, powerful rotating brush
Cons
Poor suction power; heavy, hard to move around; short and stiff hose.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
May work well on commercials carpets because of the powerful rotating brush, but avoid it if you have marble floor or fine wool carpet
I bought Bissell 3750 lift off bagless vacuum cleaner because it "has 12 amps, most power you can buy" and it's "all in one". However, after two months of frustration, my conclusion is that Bissell 3750 has a powerful rotating brush, but it is a vacuum that does not suck.
I have beautiful marble floors. The only way to avoid damaging the surface of the floor is to turn off the rotating brush and use only the suction power when vacuuming the floor. My previous vacuums (e.g., a compact Dirt Devil that costs less than half of Bissell 3750) could vacuum my marble floor perfectly well. However, the Bissell 3750 is never able to pick up dirt especially sand on the floor. One may guess that the hose or somewhere was blocked. No, I made sure that was not the case. Each time before using, I always carefully checked the dust container and hose, making sure they were completely clean. I also tried with the stair cleaning bush, but so far, nothing works for me. Each time after vacuuming, I have to use a broom to pick up the sand and dust on the floor.
Several things that I dislike about this vacuum:
a) Very weak suction power, can not even suck up small sand that a cordless hand vac can do.
b) Heavy, leaving deep wheel trails and creating damage on wool carpets after a while; hard to move around with it.
c) The hose is short and stiff, providing a very restricted coverage on the floor.
