Bissell 3750 Bagless Upright Vacuum

I LOVED this vacuum (Bissell 3750-t liftoff bagless canister) until the plugs started to smolder (the canister seats into the cradle, they power each other by two plugs on bottom of canister). It is GREAT with pet hair, we have a farm with 2 dogs (a German Shephard and Pitbull), 7 horses, and 2 cats. We all seem to track in mud, dirt, hair, dust, hay, etc. After a week my carpet looks horrible so I have to vacuum regularly. This machine is the best I have ever used. I agree that the filters are a total pain but the fact that they catch THAT much dust is amazing. I would say, buy two sets and when one is drying you have your backup. If your machine starts smoldering, check the plugs I mentioned. Call bissell - they have you send back the power cord and they send a refurb. Keep all the filters and attachments and use them with your new machine. Its IS heavy but thats why its a lift off, dont forget that feature... it saves your back.
I got this as a hand me down from my grandma (she went to hard wood floors). I vacuumed my living room with my old kirby then put this bad boy to the test. I vacuumed right after my kirby and had a full canister of dust/dirt/etc. It was horrible. Never used the kirby again.
