Bialetti Mukka Espresso Machine

When I first used it it worked great until about the sixth or so time then it started leaking between the top and bottom pieces. So I stopped using it for a few months. But one day I really wanted a cup so I rinsed out the pot and on a whim put the o-ring (which I usually take out after each pot so I can completely clean it) in luke warm water (about 3/4 cup of water in the micro for 20 seconds - don't micro the o-ring, just the water!!) before I started assembling it. During the time it takes to grind the beans, fill the strainer, etc, the o-ring sat in the warm water. Much to my amazement it didn't leak when I put it on the stove. So to make a long story short, if you want no leaks just:
Soak the o-ring in luke warm water for a few minutes
Remove and clean the o-ring after each use. Be careful not to damage the o-ring when you remove it.
Make sure when you assemble it to put the strainer on the right way (I accidentally put it on upside down and, of course, it leaked)
Store the o-ring on a flat surface
