Problem machine
Pros
the cons outweigh the pros
Cons
Breakage of monofilament and rayon threads. Oil ruined top sewing surface.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Avoid. Bernina doesn't stand behind product. Advertises a capability, but when machine doesn't perform gives excuses. Asked for a replacement. Was told another machine would be the same.
Bernina 150 is a specialty machine for quilters. The quilting stitch requires the use of monofilament thread. Frequent breakage of the thread is unacceptable. The machine has been serviced and stitched well for 3-4 hours then reverted to breaking. According to sales/service person Bernina states that monofilament threads are difficult.... Bernina recommends that the machine be sent back to the factory. This means that I would not have the use of a machine for an extend3d time. As an established fiber artist I need the use of a reliable machine - not one living in a service center
They will NOT stand behind their product.
The top surface of a queen sized quilt was ruined with oil from machine.
