Berkel's 60 qt. Planetary Floor Mixer is a durable, precision crafted machine that is engineered for long-term reliability, convenience and productivity. This versatile, all purpose mixer uses a powerful, planetary mixing action to thoroughly blend, mix, aerate and knead ingredients for consistent and predictable results. The mixer has 6 speed options, including a blend speed to control splash out. The commercial mixer can be operated in a continuous run mode or by a 15-minute timer that will automatically shut off the machine after the desired processing period has elapsed. Using Berkel's EasyShift™ variable speed motor drive technology, the clutch is eliminated and changing speeds is allowed while the mixer is running. The innovative "two point" mounting system increases the ease of installing and removing the mixing bowl. The stainless steel bowl guard slides open for adding ingredients, and is easily removed for cleaning. Operator safety interlocks prevent the mixer from running if the bowl guard is removed, opened or the bowl is lowered. The mixer features ergonomically designed moisture resistant switches and a No-Volt Release that prevents automatic re-activation in the event of a power interruption. The Berkel FMS60 60 qt. planetary mixer features 6 speeds (5 fixed plus a "blend" speed) for flexibility and consistent results! This blend speed is designed to slowly accelerate the mixer to reduce product splash-out. Its electronically controlled 2.5 hp motor and belt drive system coupled with the "EasyShift" motor drive design provide a blend of energy efficiency, quick and smooth speed changes, and long life. This Berkel FMS60 comes standard with a durable stainless steel bowl, bowl guard, a spiral dough hook, batter beater, wire whip, and an ingredient chute. Berkel's innovative "two point" mounting system makes installing and removing the bowl quick and easy, while an operator safety interlock prevents the mixer from running if the bowl guard is removed, opened, or if the bowl is lowered.
