Not worth the hype
Running this thing side by side with my Cobra 9340 the detection is virtually the same. The Beltronics alerts at the same time with Ka band and about a half second later on X and K band. Vector Rocks, unless you leave it on in a 135 degree car........
I have a 955 and the guy saying it does not detect well must have a defective detector. Mine picks up cops over hills and around corners great, many times at over 2 miles. If he is getting hit with laser these (all detectors) are useless and that would explain the range issue, or he may be getting... Read full review »

Good Highway Detector
I live in Saskatchewan so K and X band radar isn't used here, it had good range on the highway and in the city, but the false alerts were just to annoying so i had to upgrade to the escort 8500 x50, I can turn off K and X with this one. Good Detector
Not a bad detector...minimal false alarms...like others have said, there are the occasional K-band false alarms but other than that, it's not bad. Honestly, I'd rather have it warn me about every little thing than nothing at all. It has a very sensitive radar and laser system...very trustworthy. Read full review »
