My Vector 995 is a $279 paperweight after just 8 months of occasional use. First it started acting crazy suddenly giving full-strength false alarms in the middle of nowhere, now it just displays "service required". Beltronics will not repair it under warranty because I can't find the original receipt, EVEN THOUGH I REGISTERED THE WARRANTY WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND THEY HAVE ME LISTED IN THEIR DATABASE. I thought that was the whole point of registering the warranty??? They want $85 just to look at it. The warranty statement in the manual says nothing of this. Thumbs DOWN. Now ordering a V1
