Bella Cucina Rocket 13330 Blender

This was given to me as a Christmas present last year by my Aunt who bought it from Macy's !! i could not imagine how a good store like Macy's could even carry this piece of junk in their stores. It had a lot of fancy looking jars to make smoothies or milk shakes in,which they kept advertising all over the place. The set looked good with the various plastic jars and their different assortment of lids. The motor was powerful enough for such a small size blender. You could blend liquids or grind solids,which I thought was cool.   Well, the blender worked well for a week,then it just burned out. There  was an awful smell of burning plastic or rubber or both!! and then the blender stopped working altogether. There were no contact details in the manual and so I tried going to the Bella Cucina website. I was shocked to find none existed- at least at that time it didn't. I called up Macy's and  told them that the blender had stopped working within the first two weeks of purchase,but they wanted the credit card details through which the payment had been made for the blender. My Aunt had bought it paying cash and the receipt could not be located as it had been probably thrown away. So  I could not do anything but throw it in the trash,where I feel it rightfully belonged in the first place. 
I went and bought myself a B&D blender  which has served me faithfully till date.
