I would recommend this for anyone that needs a large outlet.
I purchased this surge protector to take care of my computer and network electrical outlet after I set up my wireless router. I needed to replace my old surge protector that only had six outlets and a very short cord.
This surge protector has an ample 12-outlet that leaves room for larger plugs. This is more outlets than I needed, but I noticed that the price for this was only slightly higher than most 8-outlets. I now have room to grow.
Many times you have to sacrifice an outlet for the larger plugs, but the design allows up to 10 big plugs and 2 little plugs. The eight side plugs are rotating so that big plugs can be positioned to your specifications.
The cord is longer than my older surge protector. It is around a yard and a ? long which allows you to tuck all your cords safely hidden away.
I love that there is a power button so that I can shut everything off without unplugging. I specifically purchased this model for that reason. I was informed how much electricity is used when electronics are off, but still plugged in. Shutting off everything is a very green thing to do and will save you money.
