The Bottom Line:  This Belkin router is rock solid, looks great, performs at a high level yet stays affordable making it a logical step up from the G game to the N game.
Quick Review: It's awesome... Get it!

Long Review: As a previous Belkin wireless G owner, when the time came to upgrade to wireless N, I looked at Belkin 1st. I also looked at a few other routers like Trendnet, Linksys and Netgear but found the Belkin to be the nicest looking and to be in the mid price range of the bunch at around $50.00 CAD. A quick look on Craigslist turned up a mint Belkin F5D8236-4 Version 3 Wireless router for $35.00 so it was a done deal.

The look of the new N model from Belkin is a sleek black stand up style with sharp blue lights that is very attractive. Two antenna and a reset button are on top and there seems to be good ventilation down the side. My cable modem and this new router stand in the footprint of the old router so the size is also very appealing.

Set up was a breeze and the menu looked very much like the old routers ( if not a little more expanded ) so I set it up manually. There is a disk to aid and assist if you are new to router set up. The firmware was also easy to update and I recommend doing it asap.

The speed was fast for the wired connections and very noticeably faster for the wireless. We have 4 wired computers and 1 wireless, an Xbox 360 and a PSP wireless and they can all run at once without any problems (2 playing WOW online,Xbox live going and a movie streaming). The old G router would have a jammer if you even thought about doing what this one can do with ease.

The range seems very good as I can stream online music to the PSP out in the garage without hiccups and the media computer is getting 275 Mbps via N wireless downstairs from the router. It can stream HD movies without any buffer issues or stuttering which is more than can be said about the G router.
