Friends of mine are avid players on the PC version and explained that the game was drastically dumbed down for consoles. I had purchased the Xbox version before the 360 was released and could not get into this game. I attempted to play the 360 demo but once again found it to be a random run and gun shooter that needed a lobby system that would combat cheaters and team killers.

The graphics truly are amazing. Lighting effects are phenomenal as are the character models. The fine details really show off the 360s power. Explosions and fire effects are reminiscent of the Xbox version and could have been much better.

This game is all about online multiplayer. Two teams use a huge battlefield with many vehicles, weapons, and strategic points to take advantage of. 12 v 12 matches should be fun but are chaotic and the open rooms are ripe with brats and cheaters. Most matches are a campers dream; sitting on a building or off to the edge of a map to pick people off with no chance of being spotted.

Using a 5.1 stereo I noticed that gunshots and explosions are nothing to write about. They are mediocre at best. Vehicular sound lend to the realism and you can tell when a truck or is nearby. Helicopters also have a very distinct sound, but paratroopers don't make a sound…unless the chute does not open. Heh.

I won't even get into achievements. They are a waste of time and people just cheat to accomplish them. This is a system that need to be worked on for the Live service.

So many people tell me they enjoy this game but I just can't get into it. I'll take GRAW over it any day. If you like Military shooters then give it a rent before making a purchase decision.
