Want a great Batman game? Look no further.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
Batman Vengeance is a great game, almost worthy of a must have. Ubi could have taken the story a bit further, maybe use a second disc.
Now, when reading reviews about Batman Vengeance you'll hear this allot, but I'm going to say it anyway. Most video games based off of Shows or movies tend to turn out horrible(look at previous Batman games for examples),but this one seems to shine pretty bright, and be a good incarnation of it's cartoon counterpart. Ubi has done one great job on this game, even in getting the dark feel of Gotham city. If you are in search of a good game, or good game based off of a TV show, pick this title up.

GamePlay and controls
The Gameplay is great, and pretty fun. You get to use an array of Batman's weapons and tools, like the grappling and baterang. When you come in contact with an area that requires you to use the bat grapple, a little icon will appear letting you know, than you can select the bat grapple and it will go into first person view, where you will look for an icon and shoot at it so Batman can grapple to that point. When you are going to use a weapon or tool of Batman's, the view will switch from third person(looking outside, at Batman) to first person(looking through Batman's eyes). you use the control stick to move Batman, and C stick(the right control stick if you're on a PS2 or XBOX) to look around. If you've played a game like Halo or Unreal Tournament you should be used to the first person controls. The only bad part about this setup is if you're bad at controlling Batman in first person view, but with a little practice you should get better. Switching items is really easy, just press and hold the "R" shoulder and a menu will come up, while you're choosing your weapon of choice the game will pause, making sure you don't get hurt. When in a fight, you use the "B" and "A" buttons to attack, and "X" to block. You can also do special(or "uber" as I like to call it)attacks while holding the L button down along with either "B","X",or "A". Of course to do the tricks you have to get a little power bar up, some tricks take more from the power bar than others.

Graphics
The graphics are very well done, with the exception of a few lip syncing problems with the in game graphics, I can't complain. The look of it is overall great, and gives you the feel of the Batman cartoon. Now, if you think the graphics are good for it, hang onto your seat for the FMVs(Full Motion Video), they look great, and there is no problem with lip syncing, everything is perfect. Though the FMVs are just there to advance the plot, they're still fun to look at, and kind of cool, and if you like explosions, you'll love the FMVs. Gotham is also rather beautifully detailed with the game's superb graphics.
Overall-9.0
Sound
The sound is great, and everything has it's own sound accordingly, even Batman's cape. The voice actors from the cartoon were even brought in to do this, and they did a great job. The music score is also something to drool over, giving Batman Vengeance it's main feel.
Overall-10.0
Lasting appeal
Though this is a fun game, it can only be played so many times before it gets old, same with the FMVs, they're great, but not that great. A little more variety wouldn't hurt this game.
Overall-8.25
Overall
This game is almost perfect, though it could use a few adjustments here and there, like more levels and FMVs. The gameplay tends to differ from stage to stage ever so slightly, but it's still fun.
Batman Vengeance gets an 8 out of 10.
