The revolutionary Saber Bass SL Hybrid Models are high performance, professional basses designed with the exclusive and patented Optical Pickup System, making the Saber's tone and playing experience unlike any other bass. The Saber SL Hybrid is a finely crafted instrument, featuring a solid alder body. The reinforced neck is a 34-inch scale three-piece laminate of rock maple with a two octave rosewood fingerboard. The hardware is black chrome, and the bridge is a unique custom carbon/graphite monolith, an individual assembly for each string which also integrates the transducer system. The Hybrid Model adds an active humbucking magnetic pickup to the system, with a full pan control that provides the choice of all optical pickup, or a traditional magnetic sound, as well as any blend of the two, for a widely enhanced tonal range- truly the best of both worlds. The Saber Bass is a lightweight, comfortable design that is familiar in feel, revolutionary in concept, and inspiring to play.
