horrible sound
Recommended it?
Yes
I picked up Sega Bass Fishing at the Sears store I work at here in St Louis. To me it was well worth my 14.99. (with my discount, oh course) I'll try to run over the basics of the game.
GRAPHICS
The graphics are the best part of the game. They stand out with realistic fish and bright colors to catch your eye. The scenes look extremely real. The docks, rocks, and surrounding grass are beautiful. The underwater view is about as real as you can get with plant algae that swayes in the water. The rain is another piece of the graphics puzzle that is perfect.
SOUND
It's a fishing game! There is not too much to it. The fisherman you choose does talk somewhat. This in my opinion is horrible. When you catch a fish it sounds like some dubbed in Austrailan voice. I realize this sounds strange, but its true. Sega could have done a better job in this department.
GAMEPLAY
I think the gameplay is great. Casting and catching fish are easy to learn but challenging to master. You have to master how to use each lure to attract different types of fish. I still have not become a full master at the game after about a month of playing. It has different modes such as practice, arcade, and a tournament mode which is extremely fun.
Overall if you can find the game for around $20 it is a great investment. It has tons of replay value with so many different lures to master. As far as fishing games go its fun, fun, fun.
