Graphics, gameplay, realism, cost, there are so many
Cons
ha, thats funny, this game has none
Recommended it?
Yes
This game is the most impressive baseball game for the PC the I have ever seen. I can't say enough great things about it. The graphics are wonderful looking, with real looking players, their faces are actually shaped liked their professional counterparts. The gameplay can get a little slow if you have a slow PC, like I do. In fact, my computer doesn't even meet the minimum requirements for the game, and it is still great.
There are tons of features with this game, and they are all wonderful. The season mode is great. You can play either a career or you can play a single season. In the season mode, you can try to build your team up for that one year in the spotlight, or with the career mode, build not only your big league team, but also your AAA, AA, and A ball teams. If you have a hot prospect in the minors, bring him up and see what he can do.
This game takes everything into consideration. It accounts for wind, for each individual stadium, and even for weather. It has six different gaming mode: Exhibition, Season, Career, Home Run Derby, Playoffs, and a new feature that allows you to take batting practice. This really helped me in the beginning, because, I struck out about every single time, and this helped me to refine my swing, and start cranking some. You can make trades, and not just Sammy Sosa for some minor leager, but actual trades that can be rejected. There is also free agency that adds a great flavor to the game. And a great feature is the amateur draft. Which allows you to draft rookies into the minor clubs.
You can even create players and build yourself. The rosters are current as of early February, and I have heard that a patch may become available which will allow you to download the current rosters every few months. There is an instant replay feature that is perfect, with a great zoom feature that lets you marvel at the wonderful graphics and realistic look of the game. You can set up your own league to have who you want in it. The players preform just as they do in real life. Your pitcher will not have sixty home runs by the end of the season. However, Sammy might. This game is so new and accurate that it even has the new ballparks in it.
Also, there is a multiplayer option that adds for extra excitement, and even more fun. This game even has injuries, with everything from a short stint on the DL to a whole year of riding the pine. This game has it all. Everything that I have asked for in a PC baseball game has been answered. I ask for no more, and I am content. In summary, I would recommend this game to all sports fans out there. You will be impressed, especially if you have a fast computer. I am and mine is a dog. This game only cost me twenty five dollars, but I would have paid sixty for it. There are so many reasons to buy this game. I can't list enough of them.
Thanks for reading my epinion and I hope that it has convinced you to buy this great game. Check out my other reviews, and I will be writing more soon, I am sure.
