My Experience
The Kabuki brush is short. There is a short metal handle that keeps the bristles together. The brush is a full brush so there are a lot of soft bristles. Because there is a full head of bristles, the Kabuki brush is able to pick up more of the bareMinerals to provide full coverage. I find that by using the Kabuki brush provides great coverage to cover uneven skin tone. I only use the Kabuki brush for laying down foundation. For bronzers or mineral veil, I use the Flawless Face Application brush. I do not think the Kabuki brush would be appropriate to apply bronzer or the mineral veil as it would lay down too much color or too much mineral veil.
I have used the Kabuki brush with other powder foundations such as my MAC StudioFix and it works well to provide medium to full coverage.
As with my other brushes that I use, I wash the Kabuki brush about once a week using a baby shampoo. Then I rinse the brush and allow it to air dry. I find that if I do not wash the brush about once a week, the bristles lose their softness and feel a bit greasy.
Overall Thoughts
The Bare Escentuals Kabuki Brush is a great brush for medium to full coverage.
