The stupidest appliance I've ever loved
A couple of months ago, hubby saw an ad for the Back-To-Basics Toaster and Egg Cooker. "LOOK AT THIS! ISN'T IT COOL?!" I did my patented roll-eyes in the back of my head look and said "Sure....". Repeat this scenario several times over the course of November - December 2005.

Works great but made of fragile brittle plastic
Being the veteran gadget freak that I am and often having to leave the house for work at 4 a.m., long before the convenience stores open, I couldn't get my credit card out fast enough to order one of these.

Nifty little appliance, takes little counter space
My wife loves, and I mean loves, this nifty little toaster. She actually calls people into the kitchen and fixes them a poached egg just to show off. I wonder about her sometimes.
