I've had a very different experience than others.I would only reluctantly ever purchase a "Back to Basics" product again. [West Bend has purchased the company now and I predict they are going to have a lot of problems.]
The first unit I purchased broke down within 17 months. The replacement we got was dysfunctional because I could not depress the toaster lever. It was "frozen". Not a good value in terms of reliability.
