Pretty Good While It Lasted

The spigot broke after 18 months. The motor never had enough power.

We got about 18 months use out of this machine.
Received it as a gift Christmas 2003. It worked pretty well at first.
It never had the power that I wanted. It never completely crushed ice in my smoothie and there were ice cube chunks in the smoothie. Additionally it didn't liquify or break up berry seeds as well as my blender, so berry smoothies often tasted crunchy.
I liked the idea of the spigot at the bottom, but that was the first part to break. After it broke, it became very messy to pour out the smoothie into cups. The top edge was never designed for pouring, so my berry smoothie often ended up spilling into the counter making a big mess.
In the end, this is just a novelty product. You can make much better smoothies with a high wattage powerful blender than with this machine. The higher power blender is better at liquifying berries that have seeds. Spend your money on an Oster or Kitchen Aide, which appear to have better reliability, power and longer life.
