Makes Great Smoothies
Pros
Chops ice and fruit very fine. Power pour spout. Stir stick.

The Bottom Line:
Easy to use, works well, it's loud (but you don't have to run it too long), reasonably priced, and has a manufacturer that provides free no hassle replacement parts.
Makes fantastic smoothies. You just have to know how to use it properly. You can make great drinks from the food in your refrigerator. With a little experimenting you can come up with some interesting drinks.
In reading several other reviewers it seems some are not using the low speed when dispensing drinks. If you use this function you get a very nice mixed drink when dispensing. It will even dispense the very thick drinks.
We took ours to an office party and left it behind so our friends could continue using it when we had to leave early. When it was returned, a piece of the dispenser valve was missing. After searching the web I finally found Back to Basic's web site www.backtobascisproducts.com. I called to find out where I could get a replacement part I was told they could send me one. When I asked approximately how much it would cost, they responded nothing, they would send it no charge. I didn't even try to give them a story. I simply told them I left it at a party and when it was returned it came back without this part. You do need some additional info off your machine when you call, so make sure to have it with you. I was told I would have my part in 7-10 days. By my first description they were willing to send me the jar portion of the unit n/c. As it is, all I needed was the hinge pin for the lever on the dispenser. If that's not customer service I don't know what is.
With customer service like that, I would not hesitate to buy any of their products. By the way, the phone number at the factory is 801-571-6061.
