Back To Basics Smoothie Maker
Pros
inexpensive, easy to clean
Cons
doesn't work half the time, motor goes out
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
I don't recommend this product. it's not made well, and breaks easily.
I decided to go with the Back to basics smoothie maker, instead of a regular blender, because the only thing we really ever would use a blender for is smoothie and shakes anyway. The price was right at twenty dollars, and it was a little smaller then a regular blender as well, which was perfect for us, because we have very little space in out kitchen for anything.
I would not recommend this product. It only works half the time, in fact, the one I have now was a replacement of the original, which stopped working after making about six smoothies. At least the company replaced it for me, but I still had to go through the hassle of shipping it to them, and then paying the postage too. My replacement smoothie maker gets 'stuck' while blending a lot of the time. They include a plastic stir stick, that goes into the lid's middle, for the purpose of helping it along when it gets stuck, but this is also a pain. Then sometimes the buttons don't want to do anything. I can go to make a smoothie, and all I will get is the noise of the motor, nothing else moves!
On a good note, it was only twenty dollars...oh, and it's easy to clean too! Steer clear of this Back to Basic smoothie maker!
