The Bottom Line:
A good carrier if you don't want to spend more money.
I like the Baby Bjorn, but its not my favorite carrier. This product is great when you have an older infant or a rather large infant. I tried using this carrier with my daughter when she was still under ten pounds and it was quite hard on my back. It felt like she did not fill up the carrier well enough and therefore was leaning back against it and hurting my back by making her weight pull against me. If she was bigger it would probably be a good fit. I used it with my son and it did work a lot better, however he was about 4 months old before I put him in it. For a younger child I'd recommend a Moby wrap as it holds the child more closely and it is more versatile and cheaper than a Baby Bjorn.
I do like the easy feature of letting the kid face inward or outward depending upon how old they are. My son really never liked facing inward as he wanted to see the world around him and not look at me all of the time.
One thing, which I think they sell a solution for this, if your child is too short to have their mouth above the edge of the carrier once forward facing, they will suck on the fabric and make it all slimey causing you to have to wash the carrier quite often.
