I bought this for my seven year old sister this year during the holidays. I recently took up ballet lessons and my sister wanted to join but since it was late at night and for adults, I had to say not so I decided to buy her this DVD so she can learn on her own time.

Pros: This DVD is teaching my little sister a lot about ballet. The instructor guides the students and she has to follow and learn the moves. She can do it at home and there is no need to travel. I also like the fact that after the instructor does the move, the children in the class have to copy her. This makes it easy because other children have a chance to visually learn from them.

Cons: I do not think it is really teaching the steps easily. I am taking ballet to I pause the DVD and explain what to do. I feel the instructor it going a little to fast. It would be better if she would slow down and explain a little better.

Overall: I think it was a good purchase. My sister loves dancing. Because at some parts the instructor goes to fast and it is a little confusing, that part needs to be replayed. In the end she is learning to dance and having a lot of fun at the same time.
