The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this stroller because it is sturdy, easy to maneuver, fits through doors and has roomy seats.
I just got this stroller for my twins. I had no idea how hard it is to find a good double stroller! I looked at many double strollers before I decided to go with the Baby Jogger City Mini Double but none of them were what I was looking for.
I looked at the Combi Twin Savvy (too flimsy, didn't steer well, smallish seats and I could feel the bar right through the fabric), Zooper Tango (HUGE, as in REALLY BIG, wouldn't even attempt to fold it up and put it in the trunk, various tandem strollers (kid in the back has no leg room and no view, didn't want to deal with fighting about who sits in front).
The Baby Jogger City Mini Double is very, very easy to use. To set it up you simply unfold it and snap in two straps, one on each side of the stroller. To unfold, you simply unsnap the two straps, grab the handles which are right in the seats and pull. The stroller collapses backwards and I just pop it into the back of my van. It IS possible to lock this stroller once it's collapsed but I don't bother with locking it myself. I can easily fit this stroller and a few bags of groceries or other bags in the back of my mini van at the same time.
The handlebar is a good height, I'm about 5"7 and I don't like having to bend over to push my stroller. Someone a few inches taller than myself could easily push this stroller comfortably. The wheels are made of a hard plastic, but they are on the large side and resemble rubber tires on jogging strollers. They steer very well and turn on a dime when using the stroller indoors or on pavement, however they are not as good on rugged surfaces like gravel.
I have had no problems fitting through any doorways with this stroller.
The only thing that I don't like is that there is no child tray available for the mini double, however there is one for the mini single. I was told there might be one out in the future but nothing is available at this time. It would also be nice if a parent's console and belly bar were included, but all of those accessories have to be purchased separately. This is a great stroller, but it really doesn't come with any extras.
