Two years later....still in love!

Pros All things listed!
Cons -Basket access<br>-Weight/storage size
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  When it comes to strollers, it pays to be picky.  And this stroller pays big time.
I am a researcher by nature, so when it came to putting out money on a quality stroller, you can bet I was thorough.  Very few stores offer quality double joggers in their store, so I was left to navigate the internet for my match made in heaven.  And with the Baby Jogger City Elite, I believe I nailed it.  I've had this baby for two years now, and here is what I've come to know and love about it:

POSITIVES
-Sturdy!  This stroller has an aluminum alloy frame that seems virtually indestrustable.  Though the double jogger is pretty hefty to lift, its because it is made with quality materials.

-Durable fabric - I've used a few strollers in my day, including a Maclaren single jogger, an InStep double jogger, and a Bob.  The fabric on my Baby Jogger is by far the most durable I have seen.  I have the black on black stroller (not red/black), and even after its generous time in the sun, the only part to fade is the binding around the shades.  Beautiful!

-COMPARTMENTS!  You're not a true mom unless you have your keys, phone, water, snacks, juice cup, toy, diapers, wipes, spare change, etc, etc, etc with you at all times, right?  Well, the Baby Jogger City Elite has 16 compartments for you to store your stuff in!  And that's NOT including the basket underneath!!  You seriously have room for it all!  The one downside is there is no formal cup-holder, but since you're supposedly "jogging" (or walking), you most likely won't need an open cup with you.

-5-Point Harness - For the safety-conscious, the Baby Jogger comes with a 5-point harness system.  Yay!

-The shades (!!!) - Probably one of the absolute best features on this are the separate shades.  They can be operated individually, allowing one child to sleep in the shade, while the other one is awake.  Even more, the shades come down further than I've EVER seen on ANY stroller.  It is a literal life-savor when out and about on a bright day.

-Front wheels options - Another bonus to this stroller is the front wheels options.  Unlike many competitors, this stroller comes with two front rubber wheels with the option of keeping them stationary, or allowing them to move (great for mixed joggers and walkers).  And it doesn't require a screwdriver or getting down and dirty to switch options, either.  You simply flip a switch....literally.

-Width - I think this is one of the only double joggers that still fits through a standard-size doorway.  Its definitely not meant for the mall, but for those times when you really need to go through a door, it is HANDY.  =)

NEGATIVES:
Okay, this stroller isn't free from imperfection, but I consider these pretty minimal for the quality of the stroller:

1. The basket access - the basket is a reasonable size, however, it is awkward to use.  There is the neat little option of lifting a flap underneath the child's feet and accessing it that way (first stroller I've seen with this option), however, you can't fit anything bigger than a blanket, lunch box, or thick college text book in there that way.  The same goes for the back.  The sides are the only place you can get something wide in, and even that is slightly awkward to use.

-The weight - Okay, lets be real.  You want a sturdy jogger that seats TWO children?  Then be a little flexible.  This stroller does its job beautifully, but its not going to fit in the trunk of your smart car.  It does fit fine in the back of my Kia Rondo, though, when folded flat (fairly simple to do).

Would I buy this stroller again?  In a heartbeat!  But despite my nearly daily usage, I don't think I'll ever need to.  It's just THAT good.
