Air Baby Carrier

Well let me start of by saying I always said if I had a baby I would get the baby bjorn carrier. So when that time came I put it on my registry. I specifically wanted this one because it was mesh and I would be using it mostly in the summer since my baby was born in March 8weeks early. So finally I washed it, Im ready to put the baby in until I read that she has to be 8lbs. I waited a week till she became the required weight. I tried it on first to see how it feels then put her in. When I went for a walk to the store I wasn't really confident in the carrier. It didn't make me feel safe, I still felt the need to hold her up a bit. I didn't put her arms through because then her head would just wable all over the place. My little girl had her arms folded and she layed her head on them. It was about 85 degrees outside and me and her were both very hot. I don't know how the other baby bjorn's are but the mesh didn't help at all. Also when i was out for about 2hours with the baby in the bjorn, it hurt my back after.
On another note, the upside is that you can carry your baby hands free if you feel secure with this product. Me personally I was still a bit it worried walking in the street, but in my apartment it was helpful. I just put her in the bjorn and went downstairs to do our laundry without bringing the stroller.
