Pros Excellent handling, acceleration and braking, good seats, creature comforts
Cons Strange interior, difficult to use iDrive and seat controls, over-assisted steering

I got a chance to compare the BMW 745i with Mercedes-Benz S500 and the new 2004 Audi A8L when I attended a MotorTrend event. The event featured both the performance and "luxury" courses.

Pros Comfortable seats, ALL the bells and whistles, Smooth, smooth, smooth, Very quiet, Build...
Cons iDrive, Column shifter, Some materials weren't up to the price tag

I took a 30 minute test drive as the driver and a 30 minute drive as a passenger during the BMW Susan G. Komen Ultimate Drive.
