The Bottom Line:
Good product , comes in a great dispenser and is a great concept
Bic Wite-Out Correction Tape comes in white and is 1/6" in height and ther is 323" of tape in a dispenser. The dispensers come in various colors and come in those blister packages so you can choose what color you want. I've seen it in see through blue and see through red. It dispenses out the side and not the tip. The tape istelf is flat white. The dispenser is small enough to throw in your purse or pocket. Being see through is great because you can track how much is left.
I purchased mine at Staples but them at any stationary store, most carry this. Watch for sales, you can pay between $1.99 to $2.49 each.
If you run an office this is a terrific product for typos/corrections and such but I also use it in my art work. I like it for fine line detailing when I'm decoupaging an item. It has tremendous stick power and then I put a sealant over that. It gives me a real sharp edge when I want one. It has zillions of uses creatively. I can snip it into small pieces or use long lengths depending on what I'm creating.
I tried using it to white out an area when I wanted to make a copy at first and found out once it's on it tends to stay on. Keep this in mind. It's tricky to unstick. It's much better than the paint on style though which tended to get gloppy and was really very difficult to write on. Thep aint on wite out is really primitive compared to the tape. It dires out, gets lumpy and can really mess up a project.
Bic Wite Out Correction Tape is alsoexcellent for making tiny labels and super for scrap booking. You can use pencil, pen and marker well for labelling with the correction tape.
To use:
1) Hold dispenser with thumb in the thumb groove provided with the BIC logo face up
2) Position nose flat, at an angle, on the area to be corrected
3) Press down firmly and move the dispenser gently, left to right, across area that needs correction
Trouble shooting:In case of a loose tape problem:1) Press the nose of the tape dispenser firmly on your paper
2) Make a quick motion towards the right
3) Repeat until tape rewinds
I didn't have much luck with this. A bit frustrating I must say.
The good news is that Bic does not test on animals but this really made me laugh. Can you see little mice with white strips pasted all over them running through a lab? I also purchased the Bic Wite Out Correction tape for my older grand children as well. It's a cute and useful little stocking stuffer. The young ones don't need it and ouldn't be able to use it properly. (Ages6 through 12/5 grandchildren). I do keep some for them to use when we do our creative projects and crafts but I supervise. The 10 and 12 year old love this. The 10 year old is very desk oriented and loves items like this. He's a huge fan of Staples.
The kids like to play "school" with the correction tape and we can create cute crafty cards and pictures with it.
All in all it's a good product , comes in a great dispenser and is a great concept.
