less than expected, a bit of a disappointment

go with another brand to avoid a frustrating coffee grinding experience.
We purchased the KitchenAid coffee grinder based on great experiences with the KitchenAid product line. We found that our expectations may have been a bit too high.
Upon using the coffee grinder, we were disappointed to find that coffee grounds spill over the top edge of the steel container and down between the clear acrylic lid/cover eventually on to the counter. It must be emphasized that this happened when the steel container was filled only to the middle level marking (1/3 capacity).
We returned the first grinder thinking it might be defective or we were doing something wrong. In the process of doing so we purchased another, identical, grinder hoping for different results. The spilling was a bit less because we tried to hold the clear lid down more firmly in an attempt to create a better seal. However, there was still some mess made from coffee grounds spilling despite our best efforts.
We would also like to emphasize that we are very pleased with our other KitchenAid appliances (stand mixer, and blender). We will continue to purchase products from KitchenAid but had higher hopes for their coffee grinder, but unfortunately will be going with a different brand of grinder.
