I agree with raberman - 100%!
Pros
Large capacity, removable cup
Cons
Uneven grinding,
Recommended it?
No
Look at raberman's review: Clever, but falls short. I was thinking maybe mine was defective, but that reveiw is EXACTLY what I would say. I thought it was just me!
I was really excited about the large-capacity cup, not to mention the fact that it was *removable* - an innovation I've not otherwise seen, but these two benefits were far outweighed by the mess and the uneven grinding. Also, no matter what I did, grounds stuck to the bottom every time. Thank God it's easier to clean the cup (by removing and rinsing), or I'd have just thrown it in the garbage.
I was really surprised at this lack of quality from such a great company. For a great blade coffee grinder, check out DeLonghi's model DCG2B. (Although their new ones, the DCG39 line, look intriguing...) This was the grinder I was using before (I think it shorted out), and it is phenomenal. It's got a larger-than-average capacity. If you pulse the button, you get perfectly evenly ground coffee every time, and it never sticks to the bottom, which it did EVERY time on the KitchenAid model.
