Trifal is a combination of three herbs Terminalia chebula (Haritaki), Terminalia bellerica (Bahera), and Embelica officinalis (Amla) which is referred in almost every Ayurvedic textbook and is considered adaptogenic. This combination has synergistic action, as well as digestive and mild diuretic properties. Haritaki is rich in tannins, amino acids, succinic acid and beta-sitosterol. Bahera is rich in tannins, and has antihistaminic, antifungal, yeast-inhibiting and choleretic effects. Amla supports the immune system and is one of the richest available sources of Vitamin C.
