I have never been a fan for PDAs. I used to own an Ipaq a year back but I ended up only keeping it for about 3 weeks before selling it again. The problems with PDA technology back then for me were numerous: the expansion ports were lacking, CPU power was weak, memory sizes were small, there was no... Read full review »

I haven't visited Pocket PCs in quite some time... nearly two years now. I still have an Audiovox Maestro which is really a mildly stripped down version of the old Toshiba e570. I sold my Dell Axim X5 Advanced since I moved back to a Medicine Fellowship. Heck, up to this point in time, I was more... Read full review »

Introduction

About two months ago, I started to entertain thoughts of getting myself a PDA - both as an organisational and an entertainment tool. I wanted to improve my time management during my research year of my studies, and also to keep a journal/log of my research work. Furthermore I... Read full review »

Update: Windows Mobile 5.0 (that would be the new operating system, for those out of the loop) has at long last shipped. And verily does it stink. Read the updated section below for more details.

Okay, so my current PocketPC isn't an HP Ipaq h2410. So, you say, what the devil is it?

Folks,
I won't dwell too much into the good things about the X50V: Small, VGA screen, well built, fast CPU, double slots, good price ... and many people have commented on Yahoo.com and Shoppping.com, et al. People should read its specs, and understand that the X50V is a highend PDA.

This review is of my experience purchasing my 6th PDA, but my first non-Palm PDA. Since the 1990s, I have owned six PDAs ranging from my original PalmPilot 5000 Professional to my most recent Sony Clie. And this is what my review will focus on – the comparisons I had to draw in making my decision... Read full review »

Pros build quality, vga, cf and sd slots, wireless, bluetooth, too much to list
Cons price, Dell outsourcing support and sales, minor soft resets needed.

The Dell Axim X50V replaced my Sony Clie UX50. While the UX50 was much smaller in size, the X50V is still small enough to be mobile, with a few occassional size conflicts.

The X50V is a VGA resolution PDA, meaning you have a much more crisp screen, and you can display more on the screen... Read full review »

After a 26 year career in the Marines and using a government issue green notebook (No not the computer kind), I felt it was time to go techno.
