This comb is the best one out there today!
My wife bought the Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb from the Avon web site. She actually bought two of them. They were buy one get one free at the time. It was one way to keep from snagging our daughter's hair when brushing it. And we figured it might be easier for her to use by herself as she is now six years old. She bought these for $2.99 as the buy one get one free. That was just a great deal. I have to commend her for that find! It worked out well too.
What it looks like:
The Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb has a black handle. It goes from fat at the bottom to skinny at the top. The bristle part is gray colored. The bristles f this comb are very thick. Triple or quadruple the size of a normal comb bristle. They are hard plastic just like the handle is. These bristles flow like the sort of criss cross over each other. One to the left, one to the right the other to the left and other to the right. You get it I think. The bristles are also fat, to skinny then fat again.
How it works:
The bristles sort of separate the hair so that the hair releases all of the knots as you brush the hair down ward. It flows gently and with ease. It makes the hair much easier to deal with even if the knots are as bad as can be.It works really good. I am even amazed by how it works after my daughter has slept on all of her long hair and has knots from twisting and turning so much. I am sure those with girl's with long hair know what I mean.
Who it works for:
The Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb can work on people with long hair, medium hair and even short hair. Any one who normally uses a comb can use it. Any one transitioning from a brush can use it. It is great for curly hair and for straight hair. There are endless options. I would say that anyone at all can use the Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb with no trouble at all!
How it works for us:
So we are three people. My daughter has her's and we adults share ours. The great thing is that I have no problem cleaning it out. The bristles are wide enough so that the hair literally falls right out in to your hand when you tip it. I love that. No more having to fight the brush and or the comb that we all used to use. The previous ones were Revlon and I believe Suave. This comb beats those brushes by far.
My hair is medium length. This comb easily goes through my hair in second. Of course I am not the one to go by. My wife's hair is very long. He hair gets knotted in the morning as well if she doesn't have it back at night. This comb goes right through her hair with no effort. It doesn't bother her as much as the brush did. In fact. I never even hear her say the word ouch any more when she combs it using this comb.
Now our daughter's hair is a whole new ball game. Her hair is knotted most of the time. We use Matrix shampoo and conditioner which takes the majority of it out. But if she has a bath at night and combs her hair. She still had knots from sleeping on it after that! So that is where the Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb comes in to play. The Avon Advance Techniques detangling comb separates even the hardest knots. The ones at the base of the neck used to be painful for us to get out of our daughter's hair. Now she combs it on her own or with us and it does not hurt her hair at all. The brush used to leave split ends and breakage on our daughter's hair. That doesn't happen any more either. It is great.
My thoughts and recommendations:
For all three of us to benefit from using the Avon Advance Techniques detangling combs that we have is an incredible thing. Our whole family likes it. I like the handle because it is easy to hold because of the shape as I explained above. This comb is stylish looking and can fit easily any place. It is no larger in length then a hair brush but is much flatter so even if you keep it in your bathroom drawer the way we do it fits great there.
There is no pain when using this comb for adults or children no matter what hair length, style or shape you have. It is great for every one. It is a cheap investment for some thing that does a really great job. It has worked wonders for us. My wife has good instincts and good taste. I am not that surprised that she managed to find this great bargain! I do recommend it.
