Yeah Baby! Cheap trivia game

Pros Naughty pop culture trivia. Oh behave!
Cons Not as slick as You Don't Know Jack!, voices aren't authentic Mike Myers
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you love Austin, you'll get a kick out of this game. Watch your discount software rack, and this game should be available for under $10.
Based on 2 of the best entertainment pieces in years, Austin Powers and You Don't Know Jack, the pc game Austin Powers Operation Trivia succeeds in putting a risque twist to trivia.

Unfortunately, the clear problem immediately emerges when you realize that Mike Myers does not provide the voices for Austin or Dr. Evil. The guy who produced the game does the voices. They're OK, in fact pretty good impersonations, but any fan can tell they're not authentic.

Still, the questions are quite fun and not nearly as obscure as some of the stuff on You Don't Know Jack. The music is fun and some of the sound bytes will keep you laughing after they get repeated.

Some of the special trivia pieces are especially fun, such as putting episode descriptions into the category of Star Trek or Bonanza, or figuring out who directed what movies.

For a trivia buff, the questions aren't too difficult, and the Austin Powers interface will only really appeal to fans of the show.

Having said that, as a huge Dr. Evil fan, I love being on his team. Since the movie has long since gone to video, I bought this game for $10, not too bad for a few hours of laughs.
