I was a little surprised at first to learn that "Operation Trivia" wasn't an "All-Austin Powers" trivia game. But after I played it, I decided that it was better this way.

The opening credits are wonderful, but the ending credits (for those who take the time to listen) are hilarious. There are a number of different ending scenarios, each more funny than the other.

The game itself, is set up like many other trivia games out on the market. What sets it aside is the "Austin Powers" theme. It is a fun game to play the first 40 times and then after that it becomes taxing on one's attention span and boring, but then again, so are most trivia games. It is handy that it isn't all "Austin" trivia because that opens the marketing up to all trivia game buffs. I have had several friends play the game with me and find that it was more fun than they had expected, because they, too, was expecting an "All-Austin" game.

Unfortunately, the "host-bot" comments become obnoxious after several plays and it would have been nice if Sierra would've built in a function to turn off the comments.

I found the advertising somewhat misleading, I just can't picture a dinner party surrounding a computer to play this game, yes its fun, but the adverts went a tad overboard.

It is a good sound trivia game, but it looses it magic soon enough. If you like trivia, you will be entertained and delighted... until the "new" wears off.
