Being both an Austin Powers fan and a Jellyvision fan (makers of You Don't Know Jack), Austin Powers: Operation Trivia seemed like it would be a great game for me to play. Although the premise behind it is plausible, one big problem is that only two people can play. (one working with Austin and one working with Dr. Evil) Furthermore, the games are much, much shorter than any other computer trivia game I played. The worst of all, though, is that the trivia is far, FAR easier than any other computer trivia game...and only about 15-20 percent of the questions I played were related to Austin Powers. The game has an overall spy theme to it, and not all is bad.
On the other side of the coin, the question design and round design is very well done and quite unique. Also, this is the only production of Jellyvision's that has a plausible one player function. The host voicing is good quality and original, and the graphics are, well...shagadelic.
Overall, I found this game to be a disappointment. Although Austin Powers fans may get a few hours of play out of it, it gets tiresome quickly and with the short games, going through the procedure of starting another game over and over again soon makes you want the computer to through you a frickin' bone.
