The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this air purifier for allergy sufferers or anyone with breathing difficulties.
My husband bought the Austin Air HealthMate Air Purifier for a whopping $450.00. It's a very large air purifier on wheels so you can easily wheel it from room to room.
Specifications:Revised to minor details instead of quoting the box.
The Health Mate has a True Medical HEPA filter surrounded by a carbon/zeolite mixture which absorbs odors and gases.
This air purifier is supposed to be certified to remove 99.97 percent of airborne particles 0.3 microns and larger permanently from the air for easier breathing.
The powerful fan has three settings low ( Quiet), medium (Not too loud) and high ( Sounds like a wind tunnel).
Available in white, sandstone, black and silver - so it blends better into your room's decor.
Average Filter Life:-5 Year Pro-rated Warranty - Through the Manufacturer Only
We recently did a major remodel on our home. The contractor "forgot" to seal off the room and sanded down all the drywall mud. My house was so filled with drywall dust I literally could not see when I came home from work.
I couldn't breath either. So I turned on this air purifier that I felt my husband had spent way to much money on, and in an hour the room was clear! I could see again. But with the amount of drywall dust we had to replace the filter. Another sticker shock! $189.00 for a filter!
I have to say I really wasn't seeing any justification to purchasing such a large expensive machine until the remodel. When I could see the difference with my own eyes and was able to breathe remarkably better.
