Very Good Recorder For The Disabled
Aulos was ingenious in coming up with these recorders so that those who are disabled can enjoy making music. While their intonation is not as good as the rest of the Aulos recorders, it's not too bad of a problem and can be amply forgiven under the circumstances. Read full review »

The 309Af Alto recorder is designed for players with finger disabilities. In addition to the head piece, there are six separate sections for holes, fitting smoothly into one another. By rotating the holes and plugging certain holes, the recorder can accommodate fingers that are missing or do not function normally. Once adjusted for an individual's hand, the sections may then be glued into permanent position. A person with any six usable digits can play an entire chromatic scale from c' to a'''. If seven fingers are available in any combination, the range is extended by three semitones. Made of ABS plastic and comes with a dark brown body with ivory colored mouthpiece, ring and foot.
